Where library service
meets library systems.
I'm an academic librarian with fifteen-plus years in university libraries, pairing hands-on library-systems expertise — Ex Libris Alma & Primo, metadata at scale, discovery-service enhancement — with a user-centered approach to reference and instruction, and a working knowledge of the code underneath it all.
Systems-minded librarianship
I work at the seam between the people using a library and the platforms that run it — administering the discovery layer and ILS, wrangling metadata, and increasingly building my own tools — and exploring how AI can help — to automate the repetitive, error-prone parts of that work, while keeping reference and instruction firmly user-centered.
Enhancing MARC serials holdings with AI
An exploration of AI approaches to converting free-text serials holdings into structured, machine-actionable MARC — see the Projects page.
